Abstract
Objective: To analyze the different adjuvant therapies for therapeutic intervention in the functionality of patients with stroke. Methods: Research for articles in the databases PubMed and PEDro. Were used the Keywords: “stroke”, “physical therapy” and “outcome FIM”.
Results: 144 studies were obtained after the selection criteria were 10 studies with methodological quality average of 7 on the scale of PEDro. Of the 10 collected studies were combined total of 439 participants whose sample ranged from a minimum of 20 to a maximum of 63 participants. Various therapies were found during the search such as neuromuscular electrical stimulation, electroacupuncture, gait training treadmill with functional electrical stimulation, gait training treadmill with physical therapist assistance or mechanically, mirror therapy and motor learning in a virtual environment.
Conclusion: The upper injured limb were passive or active neuromuscular electro-stimulation and the mirror therapy. In the injured leg, was also the mirror therapy and gait training suspended that achieved good results.
